Paris - Day 3 - Part 2 - Jardin du Luxembourg

After walking around Pantheon, it is time to have a snack and Boulangerie Eric Kayser is also nearby. Unfortunately, the staff at Boulangeris Eric Kayser didn't allow photography, and we got just 2 photographs.

Boulangerie Eric Kayser makes the pastry at the shop, managed to see a worker carrying white flour out of the bakery, the croissant has more buttery taste to it. Slightly different than Paul, but still quite top notch.

Walking at Rue du Sommerard towards Musee Cluny, a medieval palace originally serve as the town house of the abbots of Cluny since 1334.

We didn't venture in Musee Cluny, in fact our next destination is Jardin du Luxembourg, the second largest public park. We walked further on.

Finally the sun decided to come out and it is a different feel at Paris, very welcoming. We marched to the public park.

Luxembourg palace is built for Marie de Medicis, the Medicis are powerful family in Florence, Italy. The Luxembourg palace design is modeled after Palazzo Pitti in Florence.

What a relief it was to have a sunny day, it is the first sunny day since we reached Paris. It was enjoyable to be in the sun light and have a walk in the park.

Paris - Day 3 - Part 1 - Notre Dame & Pantheon

After looking much at the exterior of the Notre Dame de Paris, we ventured out early to see we could visit the Cathedrale Notre Dame de Paris on Sunday.

The Cathedrale Notre Dame de Paris is a french gothic Roman Catholic Marian cathedral. Built at around 1163, it was completed on 1340.

Through the years, Notre Dame de Paris was enlarged.

Cathedrale Notre Dame de Paris is free and during early Sunday the cathedral has service going on and early Sunday is pretty nice to visit as you can beat the tourist crowd. Didn't take the steps up the cathedral, the interior is quite well lit as compared to other cathedrale or church in Paris.

After Notre Dame, out next itinerary is the 'Pantheon'. Some walking is needed to the Pantheon.

The Pantheon used to be a Church but now it is a mausoleum for french dignitaries.
